Booking Conditions


Travel Insurance

Gladerunner Group strongly recommends that you take out Travel Insurance for your time of stay. We recommend that it covers against; personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, personal liability, cancellation, loss of baggage and personal effects.


Costing and Reservations

Are subject to availability; any quote is an estimate only of the price. Once a quote is received a 10% deposit is to be made within 7 days. If a 10% deposit is not received by the expiry date the booking will cancel and no charge will be incurred. Full payment is then required no later than 30 days prior to commencement of the booking. Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival will require full payment in less than 7 days.


Payment

Once payment is received by Gladerunner Group a contract is considered to be binding. Bookings must be paid in full prior to check-in. All payments must be made in Japanese Yen or Australian Dollars unless instructed otherwise.


Cancellation by Customer

If the customer chooses to cancel a booking either fully or partly the Customer must advise Gladerunner Group immediately. Cancellation will be final and binding on the working day that the lodge receives notice.

Cancellation Notice:

Upon receival of cancellation notice from the Customer Gladerunner Group will apply the fees tabled below.

  • 60 days or more prior to arrival = forfeiture of 10% deposit or 30% of total booking funds received.
  • Between 30 and 59 days prior to arrival = forfeiture of 10% deposit or 50% of total booking funds received.
  • Less than 30 days prior to arrival = forfeiture of 10% deposit or 100% of total cost of booking funds received


Changes by Company

The Lodge reserves the right to change the Customers room without prior notice for reasons including but not limited to; maintenance to the room, or unavailability of room.


Cancellation by Company

The hotel may cancel the booking if it may bring the lodge's standing or status into disrepute. Gladerunner Group may charge the above cancellation fees in the event of cancellation by the Company. Gladerunner Group is not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have occurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to; non refundable flights, transfers, or other un-specified costs.

  • The Customer must ensure compliance with the Hotel staffs direction as to acceptable levels of noise or behaviour by the Customer. The Hotel reserves the right to eject or exclude any person if it considers such person to be offensive to staff or patrons of the hotel.
  • The Hotel reserves the right to terminate the booking at its disclosure without the liability to any refund or compensation.


Damage

The Customer will be held responsible for any damage to their room, utensils, furnishings, or any equipment therein to the Lodge by any act of negligence or default on behalf of the Customer. The Customer shall pay the Company the amount to make good or remedy any such damage.


Bond

The customer will be required to leave a bond with reception at the commencement of their stay. The bond may be in the form of a credit card imprint, or cash deposit. Following the conclusion of the customer's stay and upon confirmation that the lodge or it's facilities have not incurred any damages due to the customer, credit card imprints will be destroyed and any cash deposits will be returned.


Equipment Storage

The Hotel will assist where possible with the storage of equipment, however it doesn't accept any liability for loss or damage to any item of equipment or the like left in storage.


Guests clothing and Personal Property

The Company does not accept any responsibility for the property of the Customer. Any goods left unattended on Hotel premises are left at the owners risk without any liability to the Company.


Liability of the Company

The Company shall not be liable, whether in contract (including negligence) or otherwise for any indirect, consequential, economic losses, or loss of profit however arising. In no such way shall the Company be held for any loss or damage in contract (including negligence) or however arising, exceed the total amount paid by the Customer. The Company will not be held liable for conditions out of its control, including (but not limited to) fire, floods, earthquake, delays in transportation, strikes, failure of services, or inability to obtain information or consent from an authority.


Liability of the Customer

Gladerunner Lodge does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions, or default (whether negligent or otherwise) of those properties/suppliers providing services in connection with your reservation pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves and over whom we have no direct exclusive control. Gladerunner Lodge, it's respective servants, agents and employees shall not be liable for any death, injury, damage, loss, property (including baggage), additional expenses, accident, delay, changes in accommodation, breakdown in equipment or vehicles, whether Alpine conditions, strike, sickness, theft, cancellation of our charges in itinerary, or other causes beyond their control. Gladerunner Lodge reserves the right to alter the price, cancel or withdraw any property, component, service or tour.


Passports and visas

The Company recommends a passport with a validity of at least 6 months after return date for all persons intending on entering Japan. It is the responsibility of any traveller who has a recorded police conviction regardless of how minor to check with the consulate of the country they are travelling to, whether they will require a visa. The Company will not be held liable for any costs or extra expenses allocated to individuals refused entry to country of travel.


Definitions

  • "booking" - under a contract
  • "Customer" - the person, firm, or company responsible for payment
  • "The Company" - Gladerunner Group Pty Ltd trading as Gladerunner Lodge.
